Catriona Dickson, Clinical Canine Massage Therapist
and owner of K9 Massage Clinic based in Stirling, Scotland.
I have always approached bodywork to ease my own aches and, sometimes debilitating, pains rather than reaching for the pain killers. I understand the power of physical manipulation to take the tension out of muscles, release toxins, rebalance the body and the great feeling of relief that goes along with it. It is a great privilege to be able to offer dogs the same practical, hands on help to relieve their pain and to improve their physical and emotional well-being. In 2013 I opened the doors to the K9 Massage Clinic and have never looked back.
I began studying with the world renowned Natalie Lenton at the Canine Massage Therapy Centre in 2011. This course involved over 800 hours of study and practical sessions. I am trained in the Lenton Method® and continue to train with her CPD programme of study. I am licenced by the Canine Massage Therapy Centre to teach the Beginners Guide to Canine Massage and the Pre & Post Event Massage.
I am a member of the Canine Massage Guild which maintains high standards by promoting Best Practice principles and ensuring the completion of at least 25 hours or CPD per year. Here is a selection of additional training I’ve done:
